So Sang the Tempered Soul
Another shot from my maternity shoot. I cannot wait to show my daughter these once she’s old enough to understand.

Tonight! I’ll be there and you can ask me about my big news in person. ;) But come to see some amazing talent collected in one spot, my work with Kevin James of Red Generation Photography will be on display. More info:
Yes, yes, it’s been quite a while I realize. September was a bizarre roller coaster trip of emotions and physical actualities. I’m still feeling a bit overwhelmed. It’s near impossible to keep up with all forms of social media from Twitter to Facebook, I think I may have to start syncing them all together.
The huge news is, I’ve returned from quite the successful adventure in LA. It was a very insightful trip where I made a lot of fantastic new friends and contacts. I learned a lot from various speakers and panels. But the biggest highlight would be the successful pitches to several Hollywood studios. I’m very pleased to announced that several studios have requested my script. It’s only the first step, although hugely important, to getting into the field of my dreams, movies, on a large scale. But thus far, it’s been positive.
I have more huge news to announce, but all in good time. Thanks to all who have stood behind me and cheered me on.

Taken at a roving fashion show, at a Neverland Party. PLEASE reblog with credits, Jody is an incredibly talented artist as is Charlie Gast, the photographer.
"A Haunted Memory"
Shot in what I can assure you to be a haunted train station, in Detroit. Some very freaky things happened on this shoot. And it was daytime. Between the noises I was hearing inside the building (I’m outside of it), the fact I’m actually standing on a 4th story ledge, and the impeding storm heading our way with the wind already kicking up and creating a sail out of that late 1800’s dress I was wearing… that look upon my face isn’t all acting. ;)

Looking for a sequential artist to take over the duties of illustrating the VooDoo Baby comic. Dark and moody styles are a plus! Please let me know if you ink and colour your own work, or if you have people you prefer to work with. Email theVooDooBaby@gmail.com for more information, submission materials or questions. Please enclose links to your work with your query. If sequentials are not your strong suit but you still are interested in the VooDoo Baby project, we are accepting pin up illustrations as well. Email for more information. Thank you!
Feel free to reblog this, we’ve received a ton of incredible response and I’m blown away by the talent I’ve been introduced to. Deadline for submissions will be March 18th.
Please also keep in mind I will be holding a casting call for two male models/actors to play two very important roles in VooDoo Baby’s universe. We will be doing photo shoots along with a special photo project as well as some filmwork. Portraying emotion is a huge plus.

The first piece of art from our recent Midnight photoshoot…
I cannot express in mere words how incredible this shoot was! To be able to create such magic with such talent! Kambriel remains one of my dearest mates, it was so wonderful to reconnect with her and to be able to create such art together. She of course is the fellow model and created the most amazing wardrobe. (Yes, even the hats!) And I would be terribly remiss if I did not credit the transfixing talent of the photographer, DividingMe. Such an honour to work with him!
Do you read helpful tidbits from the resident Gothic Miss Manners of our time? The dear sweet Ms. Jillian from Gothic Charm School? You really should. Plus check out her tumblr as right below, another acute assessment of far too much cranky when you could focus on the good and find your own path. Fashion blogs really seem an excuse for people to be whiny and critical instead of you know, going out and *doing* stuff.
Oh bless. There are “fashion” blogs complaining about “the kids” wearing vertical b&w stripes, and how they should just knock it off unless they really are Beetlejuice. I think I’ll wear one of my b&w striped blazers today, because I CAN.
Also, I am ALL FOR the proliferation of b&w…
