Acid PopTart
My re-imagined vision of the Bride of Frankenstein, I made everything, including the wig. Approximate time from my sketches to finish product was about 50 hours. Every fabric item was individually coffee or tea stained and/or then aged further with dyes, there is actual liquid in the test tubes and tubing, everything tested before hand to see how airtight my seals were. Those are actual 1950’s electronic parts as well as metal springs (pretty sure from a tractor) that I bought at auction in a huge lot that I had no idea what I would ever use them for, until this all suddenly came together. I had to do lots of rusting and aging on the non metal parts (the huge “corrosion” you see around the base of my test tubes is actually glue which I later painted with iron paint and then rusted)  which took some time, but well worth it. More photos to come, this is right after I was fully dressed and about to go out. This costume was thoroughly “road tested”, conclusion? This is a show car, possible a concept car as in, not the best costume in large crowds with uneven ground and touchy feely drunk people! :D
